Terms & Conditions and Access Statement


Bookings may be made in advance. To confirm a booking we require a booking fee. You may pay this by credit or debit card or by cheque made payable to The Edenhurst. (please allow two weeks for cheques to clear).


We do request full payment on arrival by cash or card. We accept most major credit and debit cards. Please note cheques are not acceptable on arrival. If you wish to pay your balance by cheque this must be received three weeks prior to your arrival date to allow for clearance.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel please give us at least 48 hours notice. We will have to retain your booking fee and every effort will be made to re-let your room(s) following cancellation. However, if we are unable to re-let your room(s) payment will be retained. If you cancel without giving us 48 hours notice you will be liable for the full amount. We would strongly recommend taking out adequate holiday insurance to avoid such costs and charges in the event of an unavoidable cancellation.

Arrivals and Departures

Your booking will be from 2pm on the day of arrival to 10:30am on the day of departure. We would appreciate it if you let us know any changes in your arrival time. Please note that if you have not arrived by 6:00pm, nor contacted us to let us know you will be late, we are entitled to re-let your room(s). So if you are going to be late please let us know, as soon as you can.

Car Parking

Parking is limited in Weymouth, especially in the summer months so, given our close proximity to the train and bus stations we would encourage visitors to travel on public transport if feasible. However, for those who do come in their own transport we have a limited number of 'on-street' parking permits, which can be reserved when you book your room on a first come first served basis. We do ask for a refundable cash deposit of £20 when the permits are issued. On street parking spaces are not guaranted especially in the high season. The Edenhurst can not accept any responsibility for your vehicle while it is parked or for any parking tickets issued.


The Edenhurst is a family owned and run establishment and, as such, guests are expected to respect the property and fixtures and fittings as well as the privacy of both of the owners and other guests. Any guests who are considered to be ignoring this issue, or about whom complaints have been received, will be asked to leave the establishment and thus forfeit any balance paid for their accommodation.

Access Statment

From the street level there are 8 steps to the ground floor door entry, guest lounge, and dining room. There is 11 steps up to the 1st floor and rooms 1 and 2, up a further 9 steps to rooms 3 ,4 and 5. There are two flights of steps totalling 20 to the next floor rooms 6, 7 and 8. Rooms 9, 10 and 11 are in the loft and access is by a further 14 very steep narrow step. From the ground floor room 12 is down two flights of stairs totalling 16 steps. We have a secure parking space in the rear yard but no public or customer access into the rear of the premises. Due to the age of the building and it being grade 2 listed we cannot make any alterations to make it more disable friendly
